  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prep the figs: Rinse and quarter each fig.
  2. Combine the ingredients: In a slow cooker, mix quartered figs, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  3. Cover and cook on low: Let it cook for about 240 to 360 minutes.
  4. Check the consistency: If runny, cook uncovered for additional time.
  5. Jar it up: Pour into sterilized jars, leaving space at the top.

Notes

If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can also make this jam on the stovetop. Experiment with flavor additions such as cinnamon or balsamic vinegar!
