Caprese Bruschetta

A vibrant and fresh appetizer that captures the essence of summer with its delicious combination of ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and aromatic basil on toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • Fresh tomatoes, diced
  • Mozzarella cheese, diced
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Baguette or toasted bread slices
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice your baguette into about ½ inch thick slices.
  3. Brush the bread with olive oil.
  4. Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Combine your diced tomatoes, mozzarella, and chopped basil in a bowl.
  6. Add a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to the tomato mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice of bread.
  9. Drizzle with more olive oil and balsamic vinegar before serving.
  10. Serve immediately while the bread is warm and crispy.
