  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast until well combined.
  2. Add warm water: Gradually pour in the warm water while mixing with a wooden spoon or your hands.
  3. Incorporate fresh herbs and cheese: Fold in the chopped rosemary and grated Parmesan.
  4. Knead the dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 10 minutes.
  5. First rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth for about 1 to 2 hours.
  6. Shape the loaf: Gently punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf.
  7. Second rise: Place the shaped dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  9. Bake the bread: Make a few slashes on top and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cool and enjoy: Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
