No-Yeast Spinach Bread

A quick and flavorful no-yeast bread packed with spinach and cheese, perfect for any meal.

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and chop your fresh spinach.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk and olive oil.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in spinach and cheese.
  7. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  8. Spoon the dough into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

To prevent soggy bread, ensure excess moisture is removed from spinach if using frozen.
